Arlindo Cruz is a singer and composer known for bringing Brazilian music to the world. His work is composed of over 100 albums and 250 records, making him one of the best-selling musicians in Latin America. However, most people know little about his work because most of his works are only available through piracy. This article explores how we can restore Arlindo Cruz's legacy and give him the recognition he deserves by exploring all of his albums and records on official media. It also gives some ideas on what you can do if you want to listen to or buy any of his music in legitimate ways. The history of ARTIST comes from 1928 when two brothers, Miguel and João Cruz performed music in Rio de Janeiro's Elite Theater. In the late 1940s João Cruz and accordionist Arnaldo Pinto traveled to São Paulo and recorded a few songs. Both Arnaldo Pinto and João Cruz died in 1952. It was left up to Miguel Cruz to take his brother's legacy forward. Lineup: Miguel Cruz - Guitar, Bass In the 1970s Miguel Cruz returned to Rio de Janeiro to perform in a nightclub called "O Tiozinho". Prior to this he had played at a few bars around Rio including "The Juke Box" . It was during this time that his brother João Cruz's son Arnaldo Pinto suggested he try and record some songs. In 1977 Miguel Cruz recorded his first album in Rio de Janeiro called "Arlindo Cruz" after his father. The album was released by Sôbem, Jorge Freitas and Jorge C. Koala (a Brazilian music producer). The album was not a commercial success. In 1980, Miguel Cruz returned to Salvador, Bahia for a period of time and played at the Bar do Reboliço.  Miguel Cruz brought back with him an accordionist named Nelson Lopes. Nelson Lopes is now known as "Sombrinha". It was in these bars that Miguel Cruz met Rosana Pinto, who would later become his wife. During this period Miguel Cruz wrote many of his songs and began publishing them with the label called "O Itamaraty". In 1981 Arlindo Cruz II was released in Bahia. It was a two-album project and also released in Rio de Janeiro. cfa1e77820
